The third Grand Prix of the season is coming and it will marks a huge milestone in Formula 1: it will be the 1000th F1 Grand Prix of all time. After the hype of the Bahrain Grand Prix thanks to F1 rising star Charles Leclerc, we expect a huge fight for the win at the Chinese GP. Who is going to write history for the 1000th GP?

Last year it was Daniel Ricciardo who won the GP with a two pit stop strategy, followed by Valtteri Bottas and Kimi Raikkonen

Pirelli, the italian tyres manufacturer, has selected for the Shangai track the C2 compound, C3 and C4, coloured respectively in white, yellow and red.

"Last year, China was the first grand prix where there was a ‘jump’ in the tyre nominations, contributing to an exciting race with an emphasis on strategy." Said Mario Isola, Pirelli's Head of Car Racing. "Our C2, C3 and C4 hard, medium and soft nominations this time are roughly equivalent to the medium, soft and ultrasoft compounds we had in China last year. We are hoping that this choice it will result in the same sort of entertaining action and a good mix of strategies. Shanghai is quite a complete track that contains a bit of everything, so it makes a solid all-round test of car and tyre performance. With plenty of overtaking opportunities as well, and the celebrations for the 1000th grand prix, it should be a very memorable weekend”.

Here are the tyres nomination for each driver.
