https://motorlat.com/notas/f1/14949/coronavirus-threatens-the-future-of-circuit-of-the-americas#.XnCGBaJuWoA.The cancellation and re-scheduling of so many appointments of the 2020 season is bringing a large number of problems to both teams and fans. Meanwhile the FIA and Liberty Media are losing a big amount of money which was spent to host the season, the teams have to find a way to keep their engine on in the case that one race could be hosted. Fans, instead, are having problems because the ones that have already bought the tickets cannot move. All of this happened for the Coronavirus.

This virus is silently slipping through the people in the paddock two: at first, two members of the Haas and one of the Williams were thought to be positive and in the end one staff member of the McLaren was declared affected by the Coronavirus.

We could easily state that it was the reason why the Australian GP was cancelled in the end. But first, the team from Woking had retired from the race, to protect the whole paddock. In the night the nine teams were listened by the FIA and Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, Mercedes and Renault were among the ones who pushed for the cancellation of the race.

“We have been pushing like hell to be ready for Melbourne- said Alfa Romeo’s team principal Frederic VasseurAs a racer, it has been very difficult to choose not to take part at the race we were expecting so long, but it would not be fair on McLaren to race without them”.

With the Bahrain and the Vietnamese Grands Prix officially postponed the 2020 season seems to have, somehow, crashed.

“The whole situation is a huge disaster all over the world and F1 is not the centre of the world, so we will have to face it one step at a time.”- Vasseur declared.

We cannot wait for the 2020 season to start but safety comes first and we just have to wait and make our part to outcast this illness.
