F1 | Alfa Romeo launches its new C41 from Warsaw
The Italo-Swiss team decided to present its car from Warsaw, so let’s go and meet the C41
After AlphaTauri and McLaren, it’s time to meet the new Alfa Romeo Formula One single-seater.
Its name is C41, as the previous model, the C40 is going to be presented next year due to Coronavirus’ related changes of program and it’s being launched in Warsaw live.
The choice of such an unusual place is linked to the Italo-Swiss team’s title sponsor, ORLEN but there is another polish note. The driving team has been confirmed indeed and while Antonio Giovinazzi and Kimi Raikkonen are going to stay in the team as the two official drivers, the Polish driver Robert Kubica is going to remain as a test and reserve driver.
Let’s focus on the car, though. The livery doesn’t betray its original colours – white and burgundy- with the main sponsor well defined on its side.
The general look is very aggressive, it kind of reminds us the single-seaters of early Twenties but with strong technical innovations.

Frederic Vasseur – Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN team principal – avoided the usual cliché statements but he promised an hard work that will continue during all the season.
“The launch of a new car is always an emotional moment, the culmination of months of effort from everyone back at the factory and the start of a new adventure,- said Vasseur - I think the philosophy upon which the team is based remains the same – we have to do a better job tomorrow than we are doing today. We finished last season in P8, so we have to target a better result in 2021. To do so, we have to keep improving in each department, trackside and back at HQ.”
Last season was very disappointing for the team, which fought only with Haas but the hard work should pay them back, as their new goal is to keep improving step by step and bounce back in the middle-field with their new performances.
"Every team on the grid has very high expectations right now: all the teams expect to do a good job in the winter and to be in a good position for the first race, but soon it will be the time for everyone to show their cards”- the team principal stated.
Now the pre-seasonal tests are approaching quickly as well as the start of the season and the time is ready to see if the new beauty will be fast enough to bring Alfa Romeo where it aims to be.
