The Bahrain Grand Prix gave Scuderia Ferrari Mission Winnow a first glimpse of the quality of the work done over the winter, both in terms of the car and the team's results. Charles Leclerc's sixth and Carlos Sainz's eighth place finishes, respectively, are a decent start to a season that will be long and hectic.

After the Bahrain Grand Prix, Charles Leclerc, who is teaming up with Carlos Sainz at Ferrari this year, reflected on his results. While the team earned valuable points, Leclerc is conscious that more should have been accomplished.

Leclerc commented to Sky Sports F1, "There has been a lot of progress compared to last year, i didn't drive well here myself. In the past, I've always struggled to manage the tyres during the race and that was my weak point here, but today we made a step in the right direction".

While the Scuderia Ferrari has not yet returned to its former glory, the Monegasque recognizes that progress is being made in the right direction. Leclerc explains, "Not yet where we want to be as I always say, but it's an important step forward and this is a good point to remember and take to the next race".

He continued, looking ahead at Imola Grand Prix, "I'm really looking forward to it. Imola is a circuit I love to drive at. Unfortunately, I don't know about the fans. I'm really looking forward to going there. Hopefully, it will be more competitive than here, but we will push hard. I'm more optimistic than last year."

The next round will be played. The Made in Italy e dell'Emilia Romagna Grand Prix at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola on April 18 marks the end of a three-week break before the season resumes.
