Everything is set for the final day of Rome E-Prix. This morning we had FP3 and we are waiting for Round 5’s Qualy and Race.

The last session of free practices has been won by two-time champion of DS TECHEETAH’s Jean-Eric Vergne, who managed to keep the score of 1.38.608, finishing ahead of the actual standings leader Edoardo Mortara, who put his  ROKiT Venturi Racing behind with a fastest lap of 1.38.866. The third of FP3 is the Jaguar TCS Racing's car driven by Sam Bird. The British posted a lap is of 1.39.143, putting behind Dan Ticktum on NIO 333, his lap has been of 1.39.257.

The session was concluded with all the 22 drivers on the grid, even if Oliver Askew on Avalanche Andretti clipped the chicane on Turn 12 and 13 when there were 22 minutes left. His car needed to be collected from the track and this made necessary a Red Flag just 18 minutes away from the session finish.

However, the situation of the track is completely different from the dry condition of yesterday. In Rome, it has rained the whole night so there were damps on some places of Circuito Cittadino dell’EUR, especially under the trees that are at some sides of the street circuit.

If the high temperatures could cause some problems in yesterday’s FP2, today one driver had a problem for the opposite reason. Due to cooler temperatures, Nick Cassidy spun on his Envision while coming in at Turn 4, the turn who is situated right at the bottom of the hill.

Edoardo Mortara instead was too fats entering the chicane so his ROKiT Venturi skimmed the wall while being on a very fast lap. The driver managed to save his full-power time lap of 1.38.866, coming out of the situation with minimal damage.

Sergio Sette Camara avoided major damages to with his DRAGON / PENSKE AUTOSPORT too, while he continued to go straight at Turn 4.

At the end of the season, Vergne headed into Qualifying crossing the line with 1.38.608 while the other drivers were still pushing their laps.
