Marquez tops FP4 session in Texas
Marc Marquez continues his domination at COTA as he tops the FP4 session.
Marc Marquez tops FP4 on a drying track on the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas with the rest of the field almost two seconds behind the reigning world champion.
Today’s FP4 was the first practice session of the day as FP3 was cancelled beforehand due to bad weather conditions. As lightening was in the air, the riders waited patiently to get back out on track on qualifying day.
Cal Crutchlow was the closest to the Repsol Honda man in second place +1.900 seconds behind on his LCR Honda.
Valentino Rossi and Franco Morbidelli finished the session in third and fourth place on their Yamaha machines.
Alex Rins finished fifth place with Maverick Vinales in sixth.
Andrea Dovizioso only managed seventh place on his Ducati and Takaaki Nakagami and Jack Miller finished eighth and ninth.
Johann Zarco got his KTM into tenth place with his teammate Pol Espargaro just behind.
Danilo Petrucci finished the session down in 18th place and Jorge Lorenzo didn’t set a time during the session.
