This weekend’s #SpanishGP is already a special weekend, being the first race back on European soil, however this will also be the 300th MotoGP race to take place since the class was introduced in 2002.
A total of 23 different riders, from 7 different nations, have won in the MotoGP class, including Valentino Rossi (76), Jorge Lorenzo (47), Marc Marquez (45), Casey Stoner (38) and Dani Pedrosa (31).
8 riders have won just one race in the MotoGP class; Alex Rins, Andrea Iannone, Ben Spies, Chris Vermeulen, Jack Miller, Tohru Ukawa, Toni Elias and Troy Bayliss.
A total of 45 riders have stood on the podium over the last 299 races, with 30 different riders qualifying on pole position.
Honda has been the most successful manufacturer in the MotoGP class, with 142 wins, whilst Yamaha have taken 107 wins, Ducati have taken 47 wins and Suzuki have taken 3 wins.
