#FrenchGP | Danilo Petrucci: “Dovi is helping me a lot!”

Danilo Petrucci needed a great result in France after a not so bad start of the season but not so good too. He knew that Le Mans could help him on coming back to the podium and so it happened: “At the end of the race I was more fast while braking, but Andrea was more good than me in acceleration process. I was close to him but I struggled on overtaking him”

Petrux’s start was not the best one: “I lost positions when Jack overtook me and to recover I went wide losing even much more time despite starting in front. At the start of the race Marc did not have a lot of pace, maybe he was trying to see how his tyres were working”

A great injection of confidence for the Italian rider who wanted to thanks his teammate for this result too: “I want to thank Andrea for this podium. He gives many tips to me and helping a lot from when I went to Forlì. We are always together, we are training together.. Outside the track we are friends, he is a great person”

For sure Petrucci needs to improve in the traks in which does not like too much: “In Argentina and Austin we did better than the previous here but I was not in the fight like at Jerez and at Le Mans. Now good tracks are coming for us, podium is really good and we are confident for Mugello”
