Marc Marquez is the poleman in Italy with a record lap ahead of Fabio Quartararo and Danilo Petrucci at the end of a crazy and hearthbreaking session of qualifying.
First session of qualifying saw Andrea Dovizioso and a great Michele Pirro going into Q2 in a thrilling Q1. Dovi was able to perform a stunning lap in his last chance while Michele Pirro did a great job in the first minutes of the session with a fantastic job riding in 1.46.283.
Alex Rins and Valentino Rossi were not able to go into Q2 due to a mistake as well; both of them took chequered flag and could not so try a last fast lap to get first two positions and they will start from 13th position and 18th in a race that is gonna be really hard for Suzuki and Yamaha rider.
After that, it seemed that Fabio Quartararo had in his hands the chance of getting his second career pole position after a great lap and it was looking like he really was till Marc Marquez smashed his lap going into pole position with a record lap. World Champion waited till his last chance and did not try a fast lap till the end but at his last attempt he pushed as much as he could.
Fabio Quartararo ended so in 2nd ahead of Danilo Petrucci who closes first row and will start from the top on Sunday after struggling a lot in the previous qualifying. Franco Morbidelli opens second row followed by Jack Miller and Cal Crutchlow, who are first riders over the 1.46. Behind them we have Maverick Vinales and Francesco Bagnaia, while Andrea Dovizioso could not do better than 9th position.
