Despite a last minute dry Moto2 FP3, rain started to fall again in Brno forcing Moto3 riders to ride again on wet asphalt in a really hard qualifying session where Moto3 guys had to find confidence as soon as possible to get a good position on the grid, starting from Q1.

Rain helped Can Oncu and Raul Fernandez on getting out of first session of qualifying going into Q2; the two are really good on that conditions, with the Spaniard and the Turkish who were fast, with the Turkish who struggled more than Fernandez crashing in the final minute of the session as well. Other two riders who got the spots for the last session of qualifying were Makar Yurchenko and Alonso Lopez.

It was then Tony Arbolino who litteraly dominated qualifying session putting his bike ahead of everyone making an impressive rhythm; no one could even stay close to him as long as John McPhee, who finished 2nd, was slower than 4 tenths of a second. First row is closed by Niccolò Antonelli, who got it in his last attempt snatching it from his teammate Tatsuki Suzuki, 4th at the end.

Raul Fernandez ended in 5th despite a crash in the final stages of qualifying ahead of Aron Canet, with Makar Yurchenko 7th ahead of Jaume Masia and Ai Ogura. Hard times again for Lorenzo Dalla Porta, with Leopard Rider who suffered again technical problems on his bike and qualified himself in 17th position.
