Marc Marquez lost again the victory at the last corner, with Alex Rins this time being brave enough to try until the last meter and reigning World Champion who could not do anything to avoid another lose on last lap even if he tried everything he could to defend his first position. Anyway, Marc could be overall satisfied with his leadership as long as Dovizioso was taken out at the first corner just after the start.

Actual championship leader knew that he had to run from his rivals since the start: “Second place was the goal, I led the race and Rins took benefit from it because I used a lot the tyres, but I did not want to have also Yamahas with us, they were really fast here”.

Marc tried to let Rins go through but he was not able to: “I tried to let Rins pass but Alex did the same with me and if we kept doing that stuff, Yamahas would have closed the gap and this is not what I wanted as long as our goal was to finish in first or second. Surely it is not ideal to lose again at the last corner but this is a good result overall for the Championship”

At the end, Marquez expressed his thoughts about the overtakes of Dovizioso and Rins and it seems considering his answer that he does not care too much about that, even if losing a race is not nice: “Which one of the two overtakes annoy me the most? The most annoying thing are my 78 points lead in the Championship standings!”
