During the Saturday morning practice session at the San Marino Grand Prix saw Fabio Quartararo on top of the FP3 combined times.
The rookie finished on top ahead of Maverick Vinales on the factory Yamaha in second place.
Pol Espargaro put his factory KTM machine in third place, with championship leader Marc Marquez close behind in fourth.
Quartararo’s teammate Franco Morbidelli finished in a respectable fifth place and Takaaki Nakagami finished the session in sixth place.
Valentino Rossi finished seventh and Alex Rins finished eighth after sneaking into the top ten at the very last second on his Suzuki.
Pirro finished top Ducati as he was in ninth place, ahead of Andrea Dovizioso who rounds out the top ten.
All these riders will go straight into Q2 for qualifying.
Johann Zarco just missed out on a top ten place as he finished in 11th place ahead of Miguel Oliveira on the Tech 3 KTM bike.
Cal Crutchlow is another big name who couldn’t quite make it into the top ten and will have to go through Q1 if he has a chance to be at the front.
Jack Miller also misses out as he finished the session in 16th place.
Jorge Lorenzo finished the practice session in 19th place.
