History has been made in Valencia as MotoGP crowned a new World Champion in town! Joan Mir is the new World Champion finishing in 7th while Franco Morbidelli wins the Grand Prix ahead of Jack Miller after a stunning duel where the Italian folded the Australian in the last lap.
Petronas Yamaha SRT tried to create a gap from pole position but Ducati Pramac rider was able to close it just in the last lap starting an astonishing duel where both made a lot of overtakes. At the end Morbidelli was able to answer to every Miller’s move to win his 3rd race of the season while Pol Espargaro was again on the podium.
The Spaniard from KTM had to face Takaaki Nakagami, but the Japanese crashed out trying to make an attack on Espargaro ending on the gravel. 4th was at the end Alex Rins so, with Brad Binder following him and Miguel Oliveira in 6th.
7th place was enough for Joan Mir to be crowned World Champion! The Spaniard from Suzuki made history bringing back the Title for the Japanese Team after 20 years in their 100th anniversary. An historical moment for the whole crew who made his MotoGP comeback in 2015!
Andrea Dovizioso finished 8th followed by Aleix Espargaro and Maverick Vinales, while Francesco Bagnaia and Valentino Rossi finished just behind. Cal Crutchlow ended in 13th, with Stefan Bradl and Danilo Petrucci were the last rider able to score points.
Disaster for championship contender Fabio Quartararo: Frenchman went wide after just 2 corners forcing himself to a super comeback to conquer crucial championship points. Anyway, his race finished just a few laps later as Petronas Yamaha SRT rider crashed out.
