Marc Marquez finished third and was +0.078 behind the factory Ducati and Frenchman Johann Zarco finished P4 on his Tech 3 Yamaha machine.
Andrea Iannone finished P5 and the other factory Ducati of Jorge Lorenzo P6.
After his crash early in the session, Valentino Rossi finished P9 with teammate Maverick Vinales in P7 and Dani Pedrosa in P8.
