The 2018 Czech Republic Grand Prix at Brno will be Marc Marquez’s 100th start on a Repsol Honda in the MotoGP class.

The 25-year-old has already had an extremely successful career in the premier class.

In 99 races, Marquez has claimed 40 wins, 70 podiums, 48 pole positions and four MotoGP world titles. This makes him the youngest ever rider to win four titles in the premier class.

With back-to-back wins before the summer break started, Marquez is on a high going into Brno. He said: “We had a good test at Brno and we’re coming off of wins at two very different races, one an all-out battle and one more tactical, so we arrive in Brno in a confident mood.

“Our rivals are riding fast at every circuit and in every situation, so we must understand and plan the best strategy each time. We’re working very well with the team and the HRC engineers, and we must continue that trend.

Marquez heads into his 100th GP start leading the championship by 46 points to his closest title rival Valentino Rossi, but Marquez won’t be heading into Brno thinking about the World Championship lead he has.

Marquez said: “I’ll go to Brno not thinking about the advantage in the Championship, as if we were all still at the beginning, on zero points.

“The target for Sunday is to try and win, but if the situation won’t allow it, we’ll manage to get the best result possible.”

Marquez has won the Czech Grand Prix twice before in 2013 and last year in 2017. He has also been on the podium there four out of the five times he’s raced at Brno in MotoGP.

Marquez will be heading into his landmark 100th Grand Prix start with a healthy lead in the Championship and has the chance to extend his lead even more by bagging his 41st win in MotoGP at the Czech Republic Grand Prix at Brno.
