Qatar GP | Petrucci tops FP4 as Ducati looks strong on race pace
Danilo Petrucci finished on top in FP4 in Qatar with his teammate Andrea Dovizioso just behind as Ducati look dominant on race pace.
The Qatar Grand Prix’s FP4 session saw a Ducati 1-2 in race conditions with Danilo Petrucci on top of the standings.
Ducati looked like they had the best race pace with Petrucci, Jack Miller and Andrea Dovizioso all in the top four for most of the session.
Alex Rins was the first rider to hit the deck on his Suzuki at turn 2.
With just under 20 minutes to go, Marc Marquez had his second crash of the day but managed to pick up his Honda and get it going again.
Maverick Vinales finished the session strong by putting in fast laps on his Yamaha.
The top 14 finished all within a second of each other.
Petrucci set the fastest lap with a 1.54.854 just ahead of his teammate Dovizioso and top Yamaha of Vinales.
Miller finished fourth in front of rookie Fabio Quartararo and reigning champion Marquez finished the session in sixth.
Another rookie Joan Mir finished seventh, Takaaki Nakagami in P8 and Aleix Esargaro in P9 on the Aprilia.
Rins completed the top 10, with Cal Crutchlow in 11th place and Franco Morbidelli in 12th.
Jorge Lorenzo finished the session in 15th place and Valentino Rossi finished 18th.
