"Balda" took the lead since the second lap, overtaking poleman Marcel Schrotter, who did a great start, and Xavi Vierge, and he did not give it up till the end.

Firstly, in the first corner there was a big incident with Nicolò Bulega missing the brake point and hitting Iker Lecuona, while Jorge Navarro was victim of an highside which turned him out of the race.

In the first laps we had many crashes, with also Marco Bezzecchi and Nagashima falling down.

After that, Marcel Schrotter and Xavi Vierge fought for the second position, before the decline of the Spaniard; at the 7th lap, Schrotter overtook Vierge, who lost positions also from Remy Gardner and his teammate Alex Marquez.

Behind them, three of the favourites struggled a lot, with Luca Marini, Sam Lowes and Brad Binder never been able to fight for the top positions.

Tom Luthi had a bad start but since lap 10 began his comeback, overtaking Marquez and doing fast laps.

During the 13th lap, the Swiss managed to catch Gardner and Schrotter, while Baldassarri opened a gap of almost one second between him and the others.

A few moments later, Luthi overtook immediatly Gardner and so he did the same two laps later with his teammate for 2nd place.

Dynavolt rider tried then to catch Baldassarri too, being able to do it in the final lap: Luthi searched every spot to pass Baldassarri, but the Italian rejected every single attack, managing to get the win for just 0.026s.

Marcel Schrotter won the fight for the third position: the German engaged a great battle with Gardner, being able to snatch the podium from the Australian for just 0.002s.
